The Lincoln Mustangs pulled out a couple of close dual wins over Mission (42-33) and Washington (45-36) to jump up in the AAA team standings. A full line-up is helping Lincoln take advantage of other teams weak or empty spots. Also, the young team that has only two wrestlers who competed last season so each week experience is helping mature and strengthen the squad. First-year sophomore William Kirkpatrick (pictured lifted by his teammates) came through with his first and second ever Varsity wins by Pins over his Mission and Washington opponents.
The flu has hit the team in the last couple of weeks but now the team is getting healthy again and is looking forward to a strong finish. One dual remains on the schedule this Wednesday and the League Finals will be hosted at home on February 15th. We will be adding a Finals page to our site that will have info and live scoring during the tournament.
