Coach Michael Frias is promoted to head wrestling coach for the 2022-23 season. Coach Frias has been an assistant at Lincoln since 2019 and has been an outstanding staff member who has brought a lot to the program over the years. He’s taking over for Lincoln’s
head coach and his former Riordan High School wrestling coach, Coach Anastasio. Coach Vittorio Anastasio is stepping down as head coach this season as he was recently diagnosed with Acute Leukemia which is a type of bone marrow cancer. Unfortunately, he will be checked into the hospital for a lot of the season and will most likely have some immune issues which will keep him out practice room but he hopes to be able to come around to duals and tournaments before the season is over as well as he will be helping remotely with the website, social media accounts, and consulting the staff. Lincoln is in great hands as Coach Jose Cardoza is returning too. Coach Mark Nikolov will be taking this season off but hopes to come around to some of the matches. Donny Bendo another Riordan grad and former assistant to Coach Anastasio at Riordan as well as more recently an assistant at Burlingame High School will be joining the staff too in January as an Assistant. Coach Bendo is also a lieutenant in the fire department and is the head of the fire department’s youth sports program called FLAME.
